...Mari, this is especially for you:
|
There are seven of these tiles with the green glass tile insets in them, scattered |
I LOVE these tiles!! And we happened to luck up earlier tonight, on some towels and wash cloths that couldn't match any more closely had we tried!! They have small rectangular bands of the green colors on them.
Tomorrow they'll grout the walls, then the heating coils will be laid for the tiles to go over it (There was a HUGE issue earlier today with the coil mat being too big for the room, and unfortunately it's NOT the kind of thing you can just cut, so thankfully they were able to find a smaller one in stock at a local supply store, and one of the electricians ran to pick it up, as otherwise it wouldn't have been delivered until Friday. EVERYONE working on this bathroom has been the most amazing, most professional worker, with such attention to quality and detail; I'm SO pleased with the whole process thus far!!) and the tiles will be set with adhesive and grout, though I don't know how long before the floor can be grouted after it's been stuck to the floor? Then the lighted mirror, the sink and its console, the toilet, and the shower will be put in. It'll most likely be end of the day Friday before it's all finished, because of the set back with the heating coils earlier today, but I think it'll still come in on time! :) I'm super impressed so far with the company we've used, and when it comes time to plan the kitchen, I know we'll be using them again!! :)
I love those tiles! What pretty colors!
Thanks, Hea; I know, aren't they gorgeous?! It was a hard decision between
the same glass tiles in blue, or these in what they call "Sea Green" but
after MUCH deliberation, I chopse the sea green. David liked both, so he
wasn't bothered which ones went in. He chose the floor tiles, which I
SHOULD be able to show you later today. :)
By the way, did you notice that one of your tags is "bathrooml"? (My guess
is you DID notice, and you decided that 1) it was adorable and 2) I would
point it out, so you made the resulting obvious choice to leave it as it
was.)
Actually, I saw it, and after my initial, "CRAP!! How can I fix that?!"
and came up with a simple enough way, I figured it was too much hassle and,
after a brief stuggle with my O.C.D., just decided to leave it, but yes,
I'll consider it adorable, and knowing that someone would bring it up, I
assumed it to be you, seeing as we seem to do that with things, and then
tell the other one about it. ;)
Actually, upon further thought, and some discussion with the English
Muffin, I have decided that "bathrooml" is a sniglet (remember those?!) and
its definition is: "A unit of measure with which the amount of water used
at bath time is gauged."
